A Perfect Stay at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur

Every year on 15th of September, my boyfriend and I would celebrate our anniversary since we met each other in last 7 years. This year, we are celebrating our 7th year's anniversary and we decided to go for luxury celebration by staying in Le Royal Club Suite for 2 days 1 night. Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is always my first choice as it is conveniently located and offers good standards of lodging and quality services.
Transitional Portal - Hotel Entrance
On anniversary day, we reached Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur Hotel earlier as we are really looking forward to it. Upon arrival at Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, we are welcomed with striking colours displayed at the hotel entrance and ceiling along a narrow walkway - ‘Transitional portal’.
This transition portal seems resetting our mind when entering the hotel. This pieces of unique artwork was created by LM100 artist, An Xiaotong entitled ‘Everywhere’.
Symphony of Light - Main Lobby
Next, upon entering the Main Lobby, we were fascinating by Lobby Fountain featuring the "Symphony of Light" by talented designer Keiko Miura; which it took a year to assemble.
Check in:
Our arrival experience was amazing with the Le Méridien’s Unlock Art programme where we receive a room key at check-in that not only unlocks our room, but provides us with special privileges at cultural centres. This is a special programme by Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur partners with Gallerie Taksu.
Hotel check in was a breeze, organized and efficient. Thumb up to the staffs as they are friendly and helpful; and check in was very efficient with my room being available even though I was there well ahead of check in time.
Le Royal Club Suite - Our Room
Once receive room key, we move our way up to our room located on level 33. - Le Royal Club suite room.
Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur reflects a European charm with Malaysia influence. All 420 guest rooms and suites offer panoramic views of the city or Lake Gardens.
Le Meridien hotel offers four types of room and each of them have their own unique place:
1) Deluxe room
2) Premier Room
3) Royal Club Room
4) Royal Club Suite
Upon entering the room, we were impressed with the elegant master bedroom that complete with a king size bed fitted in goose down duvets, combination of non-allergenic and duck feather pillows. The bed was so soft, comfortable smelled amazing.
The bedside reading lights extends to a magnificent cream marble bathroom boasting a spacious vanity area.
Besides, we were welcomed with fresh fruit bowl and advantage of having WIFI throughout the room.
Before we check in, we were informed by the staff that comprehensive continental breakfast buffet and evening drinks with canapés are served daily at Le Royal Club Lounge.
FAVOLA - Lunch
It's time for lunch -. We were hungry when checked in our room hence we move our steps to taste authentic Italian food. Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is famous with its newly open Italian restaurant - FAVOLA. Upon stepping in the restaurant, we were again impressed by the decor in Favola which has a touch of whimsy and fantasy, with classic stark black and white tiles contrasted with wall to wall murals and playful carnival masks.
The restaurant has a very cheerful mood with its spacious tables, comfortable chairs, and light music.
We were pointed to our table by Favola staff and given a scroll menu.
We choose to go for 3 courses meal and here we enjoyed the authentic Italian food. Like most proper Italian restaurants, we started off with some lovely bread and the best thing is it's free!! The bread is served with the standard olive oil with balsamic vinegar; there were guacamole and the very flavorful potato truffle dips
One must try is Antipasti Buffet from the Crudo Bar,
•caprese – buffalo mozzarella, tomato, basil, anchovies, garlic confit and oregano
•bresaola – shaved dried beef with rocket salad, figs, lemon and olive oil
•bruschetta – cured salmon, portobello mushrooms
•seafood salad – garlic, chili-olive oil, lemon juice and Italian parsley
For main course, we both decided to go for Risotto pasta with scallop and thin; crusted Italian famous pizza..!!
I'm really satisfied with the lunch and we dragged ourselves out, waving goodbye to the wonderful team that made our lunch. Of course, we left a little ‘love note’ in the guestbook while going to next stop.
Pool
The swimming pool is just next to Favola restaurant. The pool is just nice for us to get some rest after having fulfilled lunch. We spent our afternoon here for swimming and of course a nap.
Prime - Dinner
When the time we get back our room, it was almost dinner time. We headed over to Prime Restaurant which describe by the press as
"Prime Grill, Prime Wine, Prime Time” sums up and effectively captures the mood of a stimulating dining experience"
Like Favola restaurant, we started with freshly baked breads filled with walnuts, softer texture and a lovely cheese crust to serve with three different types of butter: Basil butter, salted butter, mustard butter.
Next we have Clam Chowder (RM30++) as appetizer which tastes wise and not too creamy.
Prime is famous with their steak and they have good selections of steak to choose from. My favourite order is Wagyu Prime Rib hence we decided to go for 2 pax.
Desserts: Chilled mango cheesecake, crackers crumble, coconut cream jelly and chocolate and rich hot chocolate cake, chocolate sauce, stracciatella ice cream
The service was good and efficient as well. The dinner is perfect with the great ambience the Red Wine Banfi Col di Sasso Cabernet Sangiovese
Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur swimming pool night view was the most beautiful views I have ever seen.
Night activity was spent at swimming pool with a glass of wine under the moonlight while our body is in total relaxation in the Jacuzzi and Spa.
"The ambience is suitable for those who want to get away from the fuss of the big cities and spend time with the ones they love."
Le Royal Club Lounge - Breakfast
Our two days one night trip will never completed without morning breakfast at Le Royal Club Lounge.
This trip was a memorable anniversary we had so far. Definitely we will come again....
