Motherhood journey: Confinement - LYC mother & child Centre Puchong

Many should have doubts or question on review for confinement service in Lyc mother & child Centre.

I have been searching around before my confinement and found less info or blog on the review for LYC confinement centre either for TTDI or Puchong.  Hence, I decided to write a blog on the services for LYC Puchong which was opened or start operate since last year May 2019.

Location: B12 & B13, Block B, Dataran Puchong, Jalan PJU7/1A, Taman Puchong Utama,, Puchong

Location: 

This centre was located near to  Taman Puchong Utama AEON Big or Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara Puchong. Location wise seems good as lots of parking and can even park in front of the centre itself however the traffic is bad in the morning or evening time for LDP. So if able to skip that then the location is not an issue.

Services:

Mother: 

1. Breastfeeding clothes are given two sets twice a day for hygiene purposes and will be collected for wash daily

2. Tanamera Bath water will be prepared upon request (for 14 days)for bath

3. Breastfeeding pillow is provided (the product came from Taiwan) and quite handy in hand when breastfeed, also you may know if a need to purchase a breastfeed pillow when back home.

4. Postnatal massage is included in the room package which the service provided by Tanamera (no of  massage depends on the room booked such as Deluxe will be given one time massage and VIP 3 times)

5. Postnatal yoga class will be conducted by two famous instructor which i felt it does benefits the mummy a lots after the long day breastfeed and post delivery. One of the class is the music instrument class in which you will feel asleep quick after hearing the sound played.

Recommendation: 

Natural birth : may start the class after 3 days post delivery

C-zer - may start after 2nd week post delivery to allow the wound heal better

7. Hair wash is included in the room package as well same depends on the room booked such as Deluxe will be given one time massage.

8. May borrow the breast pump from the centre (Haenim brand) which is good for newbies mummy to decide if a need for it before wasting the money. And also the UV sanitizer from Haenim brand as well to dry or sanitize the milk bottle.

8. Red dates water are provided daily so mumy do not need to bring own as well :)

Baby:

1. Baby attire are provided imported from Taiwan which used by hospital and the clothed material are good and gentle for the baby

2. Baby bath is done daily in the morning before the milk given along with check on jaundice level, weight measurement and amount of milk given on that day itself. All these will be recorded and send to each mummy for record purposes via Whatsapp group.

Nurse:

1. Nurse hired are experience enough to give guidance on the breastfeeding info and helpful as well. If have locked or plugged ducts (blockage in a milk duct), the nurse can teach the massage methods to unclog it. So basically you will have experience lactation nurse anytime you need. 

2. Baby massage/bath class is conducted by senior Jenny nurse twice a month and you may register to attend the class for a duration of 30 minutes.

3. 1-1 Baby bath will be provided on the last weekend before discharge from the confinement centre.

Room:

1. Three types of room are available: Deluxe, Premier and VIP, differences are the room sizes and the massage and hair wash service given.

2. TV available in room but with limited no of channel such as WAH Lai toi, HBO.

3. Toilet bowl are the japanese style bidet with heated toilet seat and warm wind and I love it so much. Besides, hot and cold water are available for the water tap so you do not need to worry if no hot water to wash something and good to wash the milk bottle as well.

4. All room come with Queen size bed except King size for VIP room. The bed was a little bit hard for me as get used to soft bed but overall it was great. 

5. There is a bed size lamp from Haenim which you can use for phone wireless charging(except Iphone) and night lamp which pretty useful during night time breastfeed or bottle feeding.

 

 

Food:

Food wise are variety from Western, Chinese to Japanese. Soup given daily with desserts as well with less repeated meal which i found great. Weekly menu will be given to choose the main course. The food taste was great and like 5 star hotel food.

Tonic soup is provided as well to help on faster body healing. Overall i do like the food a lots however due to my own body health issue some food cannot be taken but the portion are good enough for two pax hence each time will get my husband to eat those i can't eat. 

 

Overall I'm quite satisfied with the services provided by the centre and mummy does have ample time for rest and recover post delivery. However, there is a rule in which visitor are not allow to touch or hug the baby while visiting but i felt that this practice is good as well to allow the baby free from infection or gems and able to rest and sleep well without the disturb from anyone. Front desk service in lobby are professional as well to attend the guest, guest will be walk up by the staff and body temperature check will be done each time before go up to for visiting.Not to forget, there's CCTV installed for each baby cot area to monitor my baby daily as well.
